Newton Technology Group plc is an association of high technology companies in common ownership with closely related product interests.

 

Principally located in Newton Hall, near Cambridge in the UK, the companies share facilities for development and production. This actively encourages the open exchange of ideas and enables the products to remain responsive to innovation and market trends.

 

The Group offers equipment and services to the Optical Telecommunications, Semiconductor, Photonics, Glass and Ceramics Industries.

 

Newton Technology Group was created and developed by Technologists and Process Engineers, who recognised the importance of service, support and process knowledge.  This ethos has been key to the success of the group.  With more than 30 years experience, NTG is able to offer a very high level of in house expertise and maintain an excellent reputation across the full range of it’s technologies for all aspects of customer support and knowledge transfer.

 

The 7200m² production facility incorporates modern research and design facilities including clean room and assembly areas.  Teams of experienced designers, engineers and software experts occupy these facilities and the close cooperation between companies and individuals means that projects ranging from a single component manufacture to full production facility design can be delivered efficiently and in a timely manner.

Bespoke Engineering

Engineers and design teams in SG Controls and throughout the Newton Technology Group are always on hand to advise and offer support for any bespoke engineering project. 

 

Technology Transfer

Independent process experts are often the best people to introduce staff to new technology particularly where existing production schedules cannot be compromised.  SG Controls are process experts and can deliver training and technical transitions either at your site or in the Newton Development Labs.  With a full suite of Optical Fibre manufacturing equipment we can train new staff and re train the more experienced in new techniques with disturbing your current process.

For large manufacturing installation projects a full package of technology transfer can be configured to meet the demands of full factory start up.
